Even if true (it probably isn't), that had no effect on the Middle East of the Bible.
So as a basis for a world flood, it doesn't cut it.
On that also if there was a global flood there wouldn't be so many humans in this day and age guaranteed we would all be closer related if anything, but we aren't were all still pretty much distant cousins.
