Do you? furthermore, I condemn this man's actions as insensitive, foolish, bigoted and hateful. I am not a lone Christian on this, there are many who would agree. You're a Christian?...forgive me then, instead of cussing me!
Yet instead of decrying the man in question's actions for what the yare, you decide it is time to tear down a religion for your own selfish perception of it. FOrgive me for getting up on my soap box, but what a fucking disrespectful thing to do.
You are making my point about oversensitivity for me...is anything I've said untrue? Yet you jump up and down. I think he has every right to burn any book he legally owns - FULL STOP. Although I agree he shouldn't do it because somone, somewhere will want revenge. And isn't that just the problem. I state again the whole thing is pathetic:
- burning books to get attention and sow hatred
- muslims getting upset about it (and giving him the attention he wants)
- people jumping on the bandwagon getting offended on behalf of muslims
Its not the action but the motives behind it that matter and the fact that christains, jews and muslims seem intent on dragging the rest of the world into a conflict, becuase it says they'll be reawrded in their holy books, which are the inept scribblings of bronze and iron age men. Its not me thats selfish is it really! And it certainly isn't me being disrespectful to the rest of humanity who don't happen to be monotheistc.
