She is determined to rule Westeros, she feels like that is her destiny (of course, that prophecy could only strengthen her certainty, her pride, and her paranoia)
Nevertheless, she is a bold, strong, and determined. She is also prideful, arrogant, and foolish at times. In the end she wants to protect her and to rule Westeros, and she is never apologetic for it. Ever.
I suppose I can see the points you both make, but I have never really been fond of her. I never really went so far as to say I hated her, but I definitely don't like her. Besides, she adds a certain flavor to the series that would make the books boring if she wasn't there. I can honestly say that GoT wouldn't be as good without the manipulative, psychopathic Cersei Lannister. But...she still isn't worthy of Rhaegar.
I can definitely understand why But to be honest, it's not like I really love Cersei, I just really admire her.

But did he really know what Cersei? I find it very doubtful, Robert didn't even truly know Cersei or the Lannisters. You also have to consider the fact the Aerys II was mad
