This is the problem with teaching religion, if you teach religious texts as fact you can't do it without showing bias towards one particular religion because they can't all be right, and if you take an objective historical view of religion you can't do it without questioning the notion of religious beliefs to begin with which is obviously off limits for religious students and parents.
