Same here.  I'm a huge wuss.  I think part of it is that with my physical disability, I can neither fight nor flee all that well.  Jump scares are the worst.

Jump scares are not only the worst, they're actively irritating because they're the laziest form of scare possible. They can be done effectively... but a lot of times they aren't, it's just silence and then boo! So it's not just that we're getting hit with a startle (it doesn't scare anybody, just startles them) but we're also missing out on a decently composed scary moment in the process.
