Unfortunately, it's way too early for a United Earth.

No reason why we can't start laying the groundwork for it now though.

Main reason I like it is the simplicity, and that it neutrally represents this planet as a whole, not giving favour to any nation in particular. I like the UN flag as well, but this one strikes a better chord for me for some reason.
