Logical fallacies are shorthand. Like instead of a referee going into great detail about all the specific rules of offside every time, they have a hand signal and a word for it. Especially useful when someone keeps using the same broken logic over and over. To just state the fallacy and say nothing else can be unhelpful, I agree.
