Bill Nye is out of touch here.
Houston is known as Bayou City. It is low lying and anyone that's been there knows that it doesn't take much rain to cause flash floods and cover roadways, particularly closer to downtown and through the I-10 corridor. Floods, even those of this magnitude, simply aren't that uncommon.

Nye would very quickly take AGW deniers to task for making jokes about climate change summits being cancelled due to cold weather by rightly asserting that isolated weather events are an insufficient basis to make general claims about climate. This, unfortunately, is exactly what he's done here. Nye should know that he can't tie this rain event to climate change.
