No what is stupid is your total lack of comprehension.
You're right I have no comprehension whatsoever why a blood sacrifice of Jesus or anyone else would ever be useful, let alone necessary. It is incomprehensible.

Took me a minute to remember where I'd read this one. Wouldn't surprise me to learn someone has said it too. Mary McCarthy, in Memories of a Catholic Girlhood, tells of worrying about her kind protestant grandfather spending too much time with the nuns, because if he learned truth of Catholicism, and did not convert he'd be bound for hell, not just purgatory. Is it any wonder she eventually became an atheist?
