I'm a little late to the party. but I'll respond.
If the god that turns out to exist is the one depicted in the Bible, then, I would accept his existence, but I would not want anything to do with him.
I would not accept him as my god.
If he decided to send me to hell, I would be powerless to do anything about it, but I would go knowing that I am more moral than this god.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
