Classic example of Christian thing (though "thinking" may not be the right word)
A Christian woman presented with a picture of the solar system downloaded from Hubble actually said, "I don't want to see that. The Bible says the sun revolves around the Earth. I don't want to see a picture of the Earth revolving around the sun."
Actually, I've found no evidence that the biblical writers had the slightest idea of anything revolving around anything. God places the sun and moon within the firmament (the canopy or dome that people in the ancient world thought to covered the Earth)

The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.
I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.
Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.

Nietzsche isn't dead. How do I know he lives? He lives in my mind.
