So you're trying to make an argument that atheism needs more faith than christianity (or any other religion) does? But all atheism is, is saying they don't believe in something without clear evidence. People have been killing each other over what god to believe in, and how to worship it, for thousands of years, and you think we're the odd ones because we don't have a dog in that fight.
We see what happens all around us in the world, and decide we don't need to add an extra step to fill in the gaps of what we don't currently know. The more we learn, the more we find out that things we once thought came from gods actually have natural origins. Lightning is a good example of that. Saying that god did it isn't an answer to any question. It's a dodge by people who insist that they want an answer now, instead of waiting for concrete evidence.
