I remember Pop Rocks quite well. Candy that sizzled in your mouth. Would not advise drinking cola with them though.
I also remember: candy cigarettes, the bobbing glass bird that wore a hat, a little plastic gorilla that smoked tiny cigarettes, trading stickers that were goofy takes on then current advertising (e.g. "shake and quake" for Shake 'N Bake)--those really cracked me up.
