I don't know if my children are a good example of their age group but I've noticed that they and their friends have a much wider range of music that they enjoy than I did at their age. They like classical music, Japanese pop music, regular pop music, heavy metal, whatever type of music the singer Voltaire sings and 'gothic country'.( Yes, there is such a thing as gothic country.) Although I listed Japanese pop music, they listen to music from many countries via youtube. Because of the Fallout series, they also have discovered some older music that they enjoy too.
