Please explain your answer below.
I think the world would be a very similar place. There are too many variable to consider. I think conmen, sexism, homophobia, primitive tribal thinking, unscientific thinking and a whole list of bad things would still exist without religion but I can't predict to what extent they would exist.
To me a religion is just a placebo that people take at a certain cost depending on what type of religion/placebo they have chosen.
Placebos do work, sometimes when I'm at the gym or I'm just doing something tough I forget I'm an atheist and think god/allah/jesus/zues/thor is on my side helping me crush the challenge ahead. But I don't pay the cost for my placebo because I get out of that frame of mind the moment I relax, I can reflect on reality in what I think is a rational way and see the good points to abortions, believing in evolution, and not being homophobic.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
