Btw, I agree with the bolded!
(and atheist groups can be just as guilty of that too ;-) )
They certainly can. But atheist groups don't claim to have revealed absolute truth or claim to be somehow morally superior just for being atheists.
Yeah, not "revealed absolute truths", and not "morally superior."
...But some of them can still claim to be right about their position and feel superior to others who feel differently. Any and every group of humans can do this.

Don't you think YOUR family's influences played a big role in your 'perception of things'?
Do you honestly believe you'd be a catholic if you weren't raised catholic?
I wasn't, just hadn't gotten to it yet. :-)
Yes, that's what I said lol. "Family influences can play a big role in people's perception of things." I am no different.
I'd like to think I would, but who knows. Probably not.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
