This is your argument that Adam and Eve were child like, seriously! You're right the world was perfect until Adam and Eve disobeyed God.

Quote:All they had to go on was god telling them not to eat it with no explanation as to why.

Again seriously, where is your Biblical support of this, I see no verses supporting your claim. How did you come to the conclusion God never explained things to Adam and Eve.

Quote: Adding the two together, it's pretty clear that they were childlike and easily swayed.

The two add up to unsupported speculation at the very best and ignorance of the scriptures is more likely the answer for your claim. Where is the scriptures that describe Adam and Eve anything other than mature intelligent humans living in a relationship with an omniscient God.

Quote: The metaphor of them being naked and carefree, then shameful upon receiving knowledge and disobeying is pretty clear in its transition.  But you strike me as someone who doesn't see the bible as a series of metaphors and parables.

There are parables they are actually referred to in the NT. There is prophecy in the OT and NT and the stories of the OT are true, real and without error.

Why do you think Adam and Eve were naked? The Bible says nothing about them being carefree, they had the garden to take care of and a relationship with God to maintain, they walked with Him every evening (hint). The didn't receive knowledge, they already had that, they became aware of what evil was when they disobeyed God and in their new found insight they understood the shame they had brought upon themselves .
You've fail all around to support any of your claims.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
