I would like to suggest that everyone take a look at The Jesus Puzzle by Earl Doherty it is my opinion that not many atheists here are familiar with the arguments regarding the historicity of Christ.The above named book is an excellent choice for that research and it has an on going website that is continually being updated with new information.This book argues against the existence of Christ being a real historical personage and provides lots of compelling evidence to back up its claim.
There is nothing people will not maintain when they are slaves to superstition
