Up in North County, I've liked Flippin' Pizza, which my father hates, being a NYer.
I need to kind of lay off it, though. My belly gets big quickly, and pizza is the main culprit. I do find myself less in the mood for it lately, but I'm guessing that it's because I buy from the same place all the time: the aforementioned Papa John's.
I'mnot sure what my point was, but I get it. Both sides of the argument, I get it. Pizza seems like a cop out at times, and highly overrated. But then food hipsters love nothing more than tracking down that authentic NY slice, or Chicago deep dish.
I don't care. Is it any good? That's what I care about. I think my next non-delivery will be in Juneau next summer while watching the seaplanes by the dock.
Meh. Flippin'/ Knockout are oooookaaaayyyy, but Brooklyn Boyz in O'side is the place to go. They know what they're doing, and that's coming from someone who moved here from NY.
Nolite te bastardes carborundorum.
