Good article. As a Southerner myself I think the trends written about is spot on. I think it co-relates to the changes in demographics regarding religion as reported recently by Pew Research. The younger generations seem to be less religious and less assanine in their attitudes towards social issues. And that is what is scaring the shit out of old guard Republican theocrats.
