It is if you believe that (1) There's too much evil in the world (2) For a god to be a real god he would have to be omnibenevolent and omnipotent (3) So in case he happens to exist, you have reasons to hate him.

Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss, the abyss will gaze back into you
