Honest Question to Atheists - Best Argument?
#71
RE: Honest Question to Atheists - Best Argument?
In answer to the OP, the closest I've ever heard to an argument that (before I studied logic and philosophy), had any chance of convincing me, was the Cosmological Argument. It sounds pretty good, until just a bit of evaluation.

But no matter what version of the CA, they all have logical flaws in form that invalidate them.

The teleological. ontological, TAG are even bigger logical messes.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
