Yes, how is that not sociopathic? Yet it seems to be the sentiment of most people...


Sometimes I think that sentiment reflects the relief of the person watching that it wasn't he who fell in.  The laughter is is maybe a way to dissipate the alarm brought on by empathy through celebratory laughter that it wasn't you.
