They should report it ASAP, preferably without washing (I know its traumatic having the filth of the rapist on the body, but it gives more chance to nail the beast), and work with the authorities intensely. If who can't be answered, give them where and how. This is most important if one seek justice.
Another thing. Give the victyms conseling, shelter if needed or relocation. Inprison the bastards. And get rid of millionaire money settlements, go for the courts to get them behind bars. Its a denegation of justice to accept mucho money for being raped.
This does not happen in Portugal. A raped woman might get 100k euros or something, at the conviction. Rape is a public crime and it can't be settled by the victym and perpetrator. You can even press charges if you are a third party withness. Even if the victym does not.
I am no woman, but If I was gang raped by a bunch of guys, there would be no money that could pay for that. Hell, even prison for them wouldn't.
