Alright, it looks like I’m going to need to make one more final final post because I’ve continued to be misunderstood.

I didn’t know Sargon was something of a triggering person around here. Regardless, I haven’t listened to him much. I’ve seen a few videos, and like most people, he makes some good points, and says some stupid things. I listen to a wide range of youtubers with differing opinions, without having to agree with anything specifically any of them say. I like to hear all ideas and then come to my own conclusions. I’m not impressed with the tribal vibes I’m getting from some people here.

When I said it’s great Sargon is running, I didn’t mean specifically because it’s him, I meant it’s great to have someone independent and non corrupt. At least I hope he isn’t, and hope he doesn’t become so.

For those who write youtubers or other people off entirely, I would encourage them to seek out and listen to at least one of their videos in full before coming to a judgement. Again, this isn’t specific to Sargon. Anyone. I’ve fallen into the trap before of only hearing about people from the filtered perspective of some other people, who can often misrepresent them or leave out important parts. When I’ve then listened to them myself, I may not agree with everything they say, but I do recognise the ways in which bias has been applied. I’ll cite Jordan Peterson as an example here. I stand by most of the criticism I’ve levelled at him before, but I now realise he’s made a load of good points too, spoke out against a lot of bullshit, and was correct about something I thought he wasn’t, all because I was hearing about him through a filter.
