What songs or artists send you diving for the off button?

Sometimes I have music playing in the background but will stop and focus when a song I really like rolls around.  My taste in music is so varied that I can't really say there's a genre I don't like.  

Since I am not musically inclined I know there are nuances I miss.  Those things that someone like you can pick up on and understand that I never will.

Remember when I crucial part of listening to music in your car was having a matchbook available to keep the 8-track cartridge steady?  Then we upgraded to a BIC pen to be able to rewind a chewed up cassette.

I quit doing that in high school.

If you own an MP3 player you never need listen to crappy music again. Unless you're a passenger in some fossil's car who listens to the radio.

There’s a primal, visceral joy in turning off horrible music.

Sort of in the same way as missing the satisfaction of slamming down the phone receiver.  Poking 'end' just doesn't have the same finality.
