I have an old truck (>50 YO) and am a member of a site dedicated to (Chevrolet) trucks all the way back to their inception (1938, if anyone cares- trucks, not the website ). Membership skews to WAY conservative. Some guy posted about how he was mourning "Rushbo", as he called him, and then he had the nerve to tell people to not start anything political. I'm shy , so I only asked why he would bring politics into it, since everybody knew what Rush's political stand was. If one brings up a political (or sports) topic they are subject to banishment, so I'm being careful. I will have to say that the only reason I'm at that site is to learn more about my truck...when, in truth, I worked on them when they were new, and know a ton more than most denizens. Still, there are small things to learn, and I have found a few friends, so I'm not eager to bail unless it gets flagrantly shit-holey.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
