Actually my confused brother November 1 (Samhain) is the pagan holiday. 'The church' adopted nov 1 as all saints day October 31 as All Saints Eve or All Hallows'/holy eve, leave it to the gay-licks to mush mouth that into Halloween. Nov 2 as All Souls' Day Why? Because Samhain was celebrated from sundown on October 31 to sundown on nov 1. Like the jews they counted evening as the beginning of a new day, and leave it upto the church to assimilate that into its practices as a way to appease these new converts...
In truth December 25 is more of a pagan holiday than Halloween.
But as christians move away from those desisions the church made to assimilate all of these pagan cultures, we forget our roots and begin to judge appearances rather than look any deeper than the surface.
