I like the idea of a symbol for the one idea that we all share in common. There's no need to trivialize it, that particular idea is a big deal. Atheists generally like to distance themselves from groups; we tend to liken that to a religion. But it's also a reason why politically, our voice remains unheard, even though we are a non-trivial portion of the population.It's okay to come together, and if a symbol helps us with recognition and normalization, I'm all for it.
