Anyway, I have a different question for you. You have already admitted that you cherry pick what to believe and what to dismiss as fairytale, but something you said a while back has come to mind once more. You talked about 'Purgatory'. 'Purgatory' was an invention of the Catholic church based on a very loose interpretation of scripture (I quoted it in the original post where I asked this question, which you never answered). The Catholic church has since reversed it's assertion that there is a 'Purgatory'. My question is why do you believe in it and isn't it blatant cherry picking to take what you like from other Christian sects and say that's what you believe?
I am sorry if i do not answer all the questions, but i have limited time on these forums, unfortunately real life gets in the way
Again, i am not cherry picking my beliefs. The Old Testament is a religion that worshiped another God then the "One true god". The only true encounter humanity had with the true God is Jesus, hence to me Christianity can only be based on the New Testament.
Now, no one really knows what happens after death. I believe in the Purgatory, Heaven and Hell because according to the New Testament, it exists. In the story of Lazarus and the Good Man, Dives was in the spiritual realm talking to Abraham who was in Heaven. However he was neither in Heaven, nor in Hell, but in the Purgatory, since a gulf seperated him from Abraham (Heaven) and he was a good loving man (not in Hell).
