Morality is external therefore the Christian god is real?

I was reading yesterday about a atheist blogger at pathos that converted to catholicism and I was wondering how does one get from external morality to therefore god is real and it is the god of the bible and the bible is true.

Especially since the bible is one of the most morally bankrupt works of fiction still around.

Just a few easy steps:
1. Convince yourself that the logical progression of thought is not part of theist arguments.
2. Start with your conclusion and work back towards your premise.
3. Ignore the TCF (Theistic Convenience Factor: 'The God that is real is the God who is most like me').
4. Remember that religious bigotry is something that occurs in other people ONLY.
5. Never forget that the moral strictures with which you, personally, are most comfortable are the ones most likely to be true.
Once you immerse yourself in these, the sky is - quite literally - the limit: You'll be able to convince yourself of ANY theistic proposition.

If an atheist wants to re-convert that's his choice. Just remember that he is by far the exception, not the norm.

She was a bimbo undergrad who went ape-shit after her first real thought in her life, when she stopped talking Valley-girl, and actually took a Philosophy 101 class. She for the first time in her life heard the notion of Greek "idealism" and she actually thinks "7", (as in I kid you not) "seven" *exists* "out there", (in the ancient Greek idealistic sense). So she thinks "morality" (objectively) exists.
Coincidentally her new boyfriend just happened to be Catholic .. of course that had NOTHING to do with it. :p
