Whoooooooo, whooooo, whooooo.
So you reckon that i invented that........the consciousness is a product of the brain.........that we are
what we are due to the evolution of the species......that only the physical senses can perceive sound,
colors and all other feelings.......that when we die is all over and so on.
Stimmmmm.
Ricky, these aren't really things we 'claim' so much as things we expect. I mean, suppose you're studying consciousness in a lab. You've got the subject all wired up and are studying what parts of the brain are lit up when the subject is subjected to various stimuli. I expect that if the subject's head is severed all readings would cease. Do you harbor a different expectation? If so, may I ask why?
I expect that a brain is to consciousness as a light bulb is to light. Unplug either the brain or the bulb and the consciousness or light ceases. Where does the light go when the bulb is unplugged? It isn't anywhere. There may be other lights on elsewhere, but that bulb's light isn't in light-heaven or in some alternate dimension. It is simply off, a light no more, except in potential. Detach a brain from what fuels it and the consciousness which had been there a moment ago is no more. Where has it gone? Consciousness-heaven? The consciousness-dimension? I expect not. But don't ask me for proof that your fanciful theories don't hold water. If you can't see they only hold shit, it is your loss. It isn't my responsibility to talk you out of your weird ideas.
