Salsa pilafs, chicken and peas an carrots, beef pilaf, orzo/no orzo, vermicelli..different rices...roasted red peppers and garbanzos, peanut butter pilaf (not kidding, try it). Garam masala pilaf, salmon and cilantro.....soooo good.Pilafs are definitely one of the best ways to cook rice, especially risotto, in my opinion.
Really makes a difference on my dinner time bottom line with the army I'm feeding, it's filling..nutritious...and totally made from scratch, so, delicious.
I've recently discovered Jasmati rice, a hybrid of Basmati and Jasmine.
Apparently it's been around for a while but I'd never heard of it.
It's quite good. Still love my brown rice the best though. :-)
Love risotto but have a hard time not turning it to gruel. Any tips?
