I get a warning in a blog about sexual assault as some else has noted, or violence ratings before movies and tv shows, but a trigger warning to theology students about the crucifiction of christ is indicative of a problem.
So what is the unintended consequence?
I have two sons who are in their early 20's and they are definitely leaning conservative because of the SJW, PC, and overly triggered society we find ourselves in. Liberals are inviting a backlash and driving people away (like we just saw with Trump) with the overuse and misapplication of otherwise correct policy. I think that creating an overly triggered society is one small part of a problem that will invite a hard push to the right. I think we are seeing that in most of western society, not just the USA.
Far more likely that your children are growing up conservative because that is what the culture surrounding them is telling them is right. Media at the moment has a very strong conservative bias (mainly due to conservatism being a strong backer of free market capitalism), so is politics and in all likelihood their education. No need to point to the bogie hiding under the bed when the elephant in the room is trumpeting loudly.
