Actually, yes, the OP specifically mentions Abraham in the write-up for that question. Abraham was not required to sacrifice his child.

As noted, Jesus said he came specifically to Israel. He then sent Paul to the Gentiles. There are different rules for the two groups, as Israel voluntarily took on the Mosaic law.
