Trump thinks he's a tough guy
Quote:A crowd of Trump supporters ran enthusiastically to the barricades as Macho Man by gay pop icons Village People blared on the loudspeaker as part of the president’s rally in Nevada, Vanity Fair reports.
Presumably the track was chosen to represent Trump, who has notoriously small hands, as a tough guy.
It’s ironic that the gay anthem was played at a Republican rally given the party’s record on opposing LGBTIQ rights.
The Village People join a long list of acts who have asked the Trump campaign to stop using their music including Adele, Aerosmith, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Eddy Grant, Elton John, Guns N’ Roses, Linkin Park, Luciano Pavarotti, Neil Young, Nickelback, Panic At The Disco, Pharrell Williams, Queen, REM and Rihanna, as well as the estates of Prince, Leonard Cohen and Tom Petty.
The Rolling Stones are reportedly taking legal action after their denial of permission to use requests were ignored.
