Not to single you out, Nomad, but I am losing my grammar Nazi mind over something that’s happened here several times recently.
‘Precedent’ is something citing as a guide or example, such as ‘a legal precedent’.
‘Precedence’ means an assigned priority as in, ‘If you’re on a budget, paying your rent takes precedence over buying that really cool limited edition lightsaber.’
