Here are some issues that Trump supporters claim they like about him and possible things that they might spit with him on. While Trump is done, these issues will continue to drive Trumpists. They will not simply go away. Note how poorly informed many are and how anti-conservative some are. I made some comments in red.
A video I saw with him doing an interview with Oprah Winfrey back around 1988 I believe. He said that he would not touch Social Security. - Yeah, Trump never lies about anything.
I believe that he may reduce foreign aid so that there is more money to help Americans. - Many people have no idea that foreign aid is quite small, $50B in 2017.
He talked about bringing jobs back that went overseas. - That's mostly failed.
I believe he will do what he can to make sure terrorists don't wind up in our country. - As in ban many immigrants.
There is a heroin epidemic going on in my state right now and I think he will try to keep people from bringing it in from the borders. - The only thing a President could do is introduce more laws to congress and increase an already failed and expensive war on drugs. Current estimates put the US expenditures on drug wars at $51B, more than foreign aid.
What would make me change my mind about Trump?
If he tried to reduce Social Security benefits or privatize them.
Reduce Medicare or privatize it into a voucher system.
Started making cuts on health insurance and other programs that the elderly, disabled, or those in financial need or distress rely on.
That would be a big no for me.
( I don't worry about Obamacare, the truly needy have state run Medicaid programs , however I have nothing against it either. I hope he changes what is bad about it and keeps what is good like he has discussed.) - Trump tried everything in his power to demolish Obamacare.
If he makes the price of goods go up with his anti trade agenda or causes a war with China. - He did.
If he creates a situation where salaries decrease or interferes with much needed minimum-wage increases. - Conservatives despise min wage increases.
If he discriminates against people because of race or religion, although I find that far-fetched and know that is not gonna happen and is just the media trying to create fear over his presidency. Besides, the Constitution won't allow for it. - Trump's blatant bigotry is astonishing. Trump supporters reject any news they don't like or agree with, even if it comes from Fox News.
I find Trump to be pro- gay rights, so I doubt he would discriminate against the LGBT community, but if he started overturning the gay marriage rights that were recently put into place. - Trump did not move on LGBTQ rights, but often insults them.
If he creates a situation where the price of gas goes up to 4-5 dollars, but then again he may not personally have anything to do with that. I actually expected the cost of gas to either stay where it is or get a bit lower, because Trump will be a pro- energy president. - What does it mean to be "pro-energy"? What kind of energy? Trump has supported only fossil based energy sources and jobs, though he hasn't done much to change anything except roll back environmental rules that protect the environment.
I expect him to work with Russia to place Assad back in control of Syria, which I think would be a good thing. It will help to end ISIS and stabilize that region. - Wow, this guy favors a genocidal dictator?
I want the country to continue to have a good relationship with our European allies and other countries (China, Russia, Cuba). If he loses our allies and drags us into any war that was his own doing or didn't have to happen, then he would lose my support. - Other than Russia, Trump has damaged relations with almost all US allies while cuddling up to Russia and North Korea, both totalitarian states.
There was also a comment about disabled citizens and how Trump should not do anything to impact their lives negatively. Trump tried to roll back funds for the ADA, Autism support programs and even the Special Olympics, but his advisors somehow got through to him to stop. How is it that this information is either not getting to them or is being blown off as a hoax?
And my most favorite comment of all: I don't want compromise anymore, I want to win!
Based on these comments, which came from a Pew survey, it seems as if Trump supporters are not consistent with conservative ideals, are poorly informed on political and global issues and consume only news that agrees with their views. If this mindset continues, we will likely have a new Trump in 2024 and many more Trumps in congress in the coming years.

Why is it so?
