Ok. Whether it's mass shootings, genocide, or whatever else, I don't see how Christianity is a primary motive for terrorist killings.
CL, please, you have been here too long to pay victim.
I have constantly said that NO one religion owns a patent on human cruelty. Christians don't, Muslims don't, Jews don't, Buddhists and Hindus don't.
OUR, OUR, OUR, species problem is that we are tribal, and assign morality to old mythology. The problem is that while most humans are good, holy writings are at the same time used to justify harm to others, and just like the Koran and Jewish OT, for all the empathetic people that dont view their writings that way, others in the same camp do use the words in them to justify cruelty and call it morality.
Christianity is 1 religion on a planet of 7 billion. Islam is one religion on a planet of 7 billion. Jews are also 1 religion on a planet of 7 billion. Hindus and Buddhist as well.
Everyone makes an argument as to what makes their religion good. And all of them CAN point to motifs of compassion and kindness. That does not negate that others under the same label, use those same holy writings to justify harm to others.
THAT, has long since said to me, the our behaviors are not in old mythology, but in our genes.
There is not one nation on the face of the planet that does not have hospitals or prisons.
Our morality is not coming from above, our morality has always been in our genes.
