The problem isn't feelings of rage or even murder. It's the ability to access dozens and dozens of easily-modified rifles that can rain down death on an entire crowd of people.
I understand if you want to let people own a musket. Hell, even a 6-shooter while 6 deaths are tragic isn't going to do much in a crowded room. But the idea that you need a fucking machine gun to guard your house or to take down Bambi is pretty fucking dense.
The second amendment is fine enough, though I'm not really in favor of it. But the execution of that amendment at the hands of officials manipulated by gun nuts is clearly stupid.
