That is a curiosity for psychologists and psychiatrists and criminal profilers sure, but that is still not stopping ease of access. None of that understanding, will help if we don't have universal health care, mental health care and livable wages for workers.

The gun companies are like any other business, they like any other product seek to please their shareholders and expand their market. EVEN if that marketing produces harm to consumers. Just like big oil fought to keep lead in gas. Just like car companies fought safety regulations when NADAR told them their products sucked. Just like big tobacco tried to hide the dangers of their products.
MARKETING, that is all it is about for the gun companies. It has never been for them about anything but profits.
They market fear to get people to buy their products and they use fear to get people to finance the profit protector lobby NRA.
