Sometimes I have to wonder if those two doctrines are religions at all, particularly Islaam.
Both, in their own ways, are way too set on demographic expansion to the detriment of their actual value as religious doctrines.
In any case, it seems to me that both capitalize quite a lot on the simple fact that people usually attempt to avoid questioning the cherished beliefs of others (particularly when it is close family) if they can help it. And since both are well-known for presuming one to share their beliefs and forgetting to actually ask, there is an efficient if deeply flawed mechanism in place to raise their numbers and keep them stable across generations.
