According to the bible god is not invincible at all.

God did not defeat those armies because the Israelites had disobeyed God, God had already started their punishment for their disobedience just as He promised them He would while Moses was still alive.

Care to show the biblical explanation for this, bet you can't. God had given a command to the people to spread out into the world and they disobeyed so He gave them reason to. God wasn't afraid of some stone tower, He knew they needed to spread out over the planet so they wouldn't become like the pre-flood people were.
