Not really, it seems to me that believing in no god is believing “something”.  

Word fail..but through the prism of your beliefs I can see why -you- might see it that way.  : shrugs : 

IMHO, Science exists to prove the existence of a God, and it does. So I don’t see myself fighting science, I see myself fighting scientists that have a little religion of their own.  I mean, does science really prove, for example, the theory of evolution.  I mean, lots of animals adapt to new situations, but that’s not evolution.  Like the birds on the Galápagos Islands, which is what my science teacher used to try to tell me about evolution.  But where is the actual solid evidence for a creature evolving into a completely new creature.  Because if it’s true that everything started as a single organism or cell, and now there are millions of species and different creatures...seriously!? Sounds crazy to me.

Is this the part where we have to deny all of existence in order to justify our beliefs?  Is there no universe in which you can see the reality of biology as being compatible with your god?  Is that really a problem for biology, or a problem for your god? One would imagine that..if there were a god, it;s existence would be a co-concurrent truth with any other truth. You;re telling me otherwise.

I appreciate that you're a religious person..but that doesn;t mean that everyone who disagrees with your religion is somehow disagreeing because of -their- religion...nor does everyone in your religion agree with you..and many of them -do- disagree due to your shared religion. It;s a pretty tough knot, but that;s for you to work out, not me.

(re "that;s not evolution..well, you got thjat partly right. It;s not that creatures adapt to new situations, it;s that some creatures -are- better adapted to some situations..and because of this they enjoy relative reproductive success..and through this -populations- adapt to those situations. He who has the most kids determines the genetic makeup of the group, and not all groups are reproductively compatible. Further, accepting that a twig can branch at the tip explains a branch at the trunk. Does that sound crazy? More or less crazy...than a wizard?)

And what about “pre-history”...it doesn’t fit.  There is clear evidence of a world wide flood, and many old books speak of a huge flood, not just the Bible.  

Lots of stories say lots of things, I doubt you give them all equal credence.  

My point with all that is this: I can’t find any evidence of many theory’s that scientists and atheist put forth to deny the existence of God.

For example:
-evolution
-the Big Bang
-pre history

So that’s one reason I believe in God, The evidence is all around.

What I see is a fundamentally adversarial stance that massively weakens the position of your faith.  Hinging it;s truth on propositions easily shown to be fatuous. Biology isn;t a religious conspiracy to deny your god..and there was no flood. I;m, not debating this with you..I;m flat out telling you. If you need these things to be true for your religious beliefs to be true, then your religious beliefs are false. I;d suggest, simply, that you don;t need them to be true, even if you currently believe them to be true. Problem solved.

Meanwhile, I was an atheist before I knew about biology, cosmology, or prehistory. So...assuming you had a point in any of the above, there it went, crumbled on account of just one atheist. Not exactly a very strong point, eh?

(if you're looking for specific information regarding evolutionary theory, you should probably make a thread for it, I;ll be there...it;s one of my pet causes on the boards, lol. I play with plants for a living, I can suggest some really easy experiments for you if you want to take biology out of a lab or a book you read and put it into your own hands.)
