On the contrary, severe obesity amongst aborigines is largely an result of genes recently selected by surviving severe famine suddenly being exposed to large surplus in calories made possible by western foods and food processing techniques.

It would appear that 73 years after winning World War Two, our guilty conscience has become too much to bear and we put trump in the whitehouse so we can retroactively lose it 73 years late.

I can't even begin to discuss the prevalence of obesity.  Someone will be offended, surely.  I understand that some people have health issues that make weight control an issue but I also witness people who eat more in a workday than I eat in a week.  I can't help but wonder if they miss the connection between that sort of behavior and the fact that they can barely fit in an office chair while they eat their way through the day.

Just having a look at which nations are the most obese Britain tops western Europe with levels of obesity on a par with the US. I blame McDonalds and KFC.

Perhaps being fat and stupid is in Anglo Saxon genes.
