In a way Pope is actually right: sexual revolution is to blame because after people became sexually liberated sex was not a taboo topic for discussion and therefore people talked about how priests and nuns raped them to the degree that even Vatican was pressured to do something.
I mean remember the age of pre sexual revolution in Catholic countries like Ireland, where young unmarried pregnant women had to give their newborn babies to nuns who frequently killed them and sold them - all because sex was a unspeakable shame.
The nuns sold dead babies? Who the fuck was their market?
I must have been a different kind of Catholic.
