One of the reporters mentioned Thomas Aquinas in this story. UGGGGGG, he was a fucking moron. I cannot tell you in 18 years of online debate, how many apologists tried to claim he knew about Quantum Physics back then.
Piece of useless trivia. But it seems in human "capture the flag" when one nation/religion overruns another, we don't always burn it to the ground, but take the defeated structures and convert it to the majority who defeated that minority. You'd be amazed at how many Churches/Mosques/Synagogues were buildings originally built by prior occupants only to be converted to the religions of those who were the victors.
The Parthenon originally started out polytheist of course. But has also been under the rule of both Christians and Muslims.
Even locally where I live, there is a Myrtle Beach Restaurant that was a former church called "The Parson's Table".
"To the victor goes the spoils" Yea well, the universe has no capability of being concerned with the plight of any majority or minority.
