I get what you are saying. I think the idea is to stop, or slow, unnecessary trips to stores...I agree it's not the best written of plans. I know of a lot of people using this time to do home fixups and I can't see how that can be a problem. If you can go to Home Depot or Lowes to get lightbulbs or repair items you should certainly also be able to buy a gallon of paint.
People should protest unreasonable measures but by gathering together in a large group for photos on the capital steps they are ignoring the reasonable measure of social distancing.
Globally speaking, our species cannot nor should complain about social distancing. It sucks that we are in this. But the fact remains right now, until a vaccine is made for this virus, social distancing is the best practice.
