Yes, data, nothing more. Going too fast can potentially make things worse.
The world has to follow the science and medicine and ultimately a vaccine.
Until then staying in place is the best practice.
I'm not proposing that there should be a one-size-fits-all approach to the process or that we should ignore the data and open tomorrow, Brian.
What I'm saying is that a nationwide shutdown is not sustainable for 1-2 years with resulting in a substantial amount pain and suffering--and yes, even death. There are workable solutions towards improving the odds for the most vulnerable among us besides everyone staying inside and out of work indefinitely.
And I disagree that the world HAS to follow a vaccine. Personally, I will not taking it---at least not one that's been fast-tracked and/or in it's debut phase. As a rule of thumb, I don't take new drugs or treatments unless I feel the benefits outweigh the risks to me.
I'll let other folks try it out and wait and see how things pan out for a few years. Then I might take it, though I'd much prefer it not be one that Gates is behind.
And no, I am NOT an anti-vaxxer. I'm absolutely convinced that science behind vaccines is legit--but the motivations of Gates and his corrupt as fuck pharmaceutical interests? Not so much.
Why anyone wouldn't a least question a brand new vaccine funded by Thanos is beyond me.
AIDs still does not have a vaccine, but it had greatly advanced in drugs that prolong life.
And it isn't about "one size fits all" but best practices fit all.
No matter the illness, even outside this pandemic, even with everyday everything else, the individual human is just that, an individual. And what may work for one may not work for another. BUT what is universal are best practices by scientists, in using standard testing and trials and control groups.
It does no good for humanity to simply guess in science with something like this. It will take time to get it right, but that is always far better than rushing.
