Whitmer's edicts and messaging have been all over the place. So bad, that she apparently had to be reminded by staff that one of her arbitrary decrees would result in violating of cities' ordinances and imposition of fines, thus putting herself in the position of have fix, clarify or otherwise amend her nonsensical mishmash--which she's trying to push off as "thoughtful governance". Clearly it isn't.
The fact that Republicans are gonna Republican doesn't change that.
We've gone from a police state where people can't buy seeds to bad messaging. The wingnut welfare circuit got you worked up about something that wasn't happening. That's all. I wish that their opposition was better at messaging too.
That disparity really has been key to the rapid increase in the rate of american decline, or if we prefer, to abandoning any final pretense of america as we thought we knew it or as it could be. My list of gripes with the neo-confederates in power are loooooong, but I recognize that they're much better at propaganda than the other guys.
We are having this discussion, after all.
Oh, no!...Do you think I'm being fenagled into veering towards the Alt Right and White Nationalism because I think Whitmer's orders are too convoluted and restrictive?
Yes, I think people should be able to utilize their private property the way they see fit so long as they are observing social distancing guidelines and their friends/relatives in accordance to those same standards--and if people choose to peacefully protest such restrictions, I don't take issue with it. You are not going to convince me that that viewpoint is the result of programming or propaganda. Just because the majority of people we happen to see protesting appear to be of the good ole boy, right-wing persuasion that does mean does that anyone who shares that particular concern is being swayed by partisan wingnuttery.
I'm gonna let you in on secret, Gae...
I don't particularly trust the government....Surprise! No Black person with knowledge of the history of this country and a lick of any goddamned sense should, IMO.
This is not new and emerging stance for me, and I see no earthly reason to limit scrutiny and criticism to the Republicans and Trump.
